Andy Ford has painted in his spare time all his adult life. He started out with acrylics but quickly moved onto to pastels and watercolour.
His interest in acrylics has been re-awakened recently by using a wet-in-wet technique which gives a result like watercolour but on a larger scale. His latest work is in this medium. He has exhibited with SHAF at Harbour House and in the Plympton Guild Hall with the Plympton Painting Group.
The majority of his paintings are landscapes from photographs that allow him to paint whilst he is at sea. He also enjoys working from life or sketches when he gets the chance.
